Shore Fishing in Lanzarote with a Local Fisherman

Fish alongside an island fisherman who has spent twenty years reading this coast rock by rock. Four, six or eight hours on stretches of shoreline almost no visitor reaches, reserved for your group alone.

THE EXPERIENCE

The coast a local reads like a map

Lanzarote's shoreline is black rock, deep channels and ledges that drop away within a few metres of your feet. It looks empty from the road. It is not. The Canary Current pushes cold, nutrient-rich water up against those walls, and the fish follow it in close enough to reach with a lure from dry land.

This experience is your group and one local fisherman, nobody else. He decides where to start from the swell, the wind and the tide on the morning you fish, then works the shore with you: where to stand, which lure, how to read the wash coming off the rock. It is the way people here have fished this coast for generations, with the difference that he tells you why.

YOUR LOCAL HOST

An island fisherman, not a tour operator

Your host was born on Lanzarote and has fished its coast for more than twenty years. For the last ten he has guided visiting anglers here, and he has worked as a fishing guide well beyond the Canaries: Madagascar, the Seychelles, Indonesia and India.

That range matters on a small island. He knows which of these ledges fishes like a tropical reef edge and which behaves like an Atlantic storm coast.

Your booking, questions and practical details are handled by us in your own language, whatever it is. On the rock, the fishing runs on Spanish, simple English and the hand signals every angler already knows.

HIGHLIGHTS

What a session on this coast looks like

Spinning from the rock

The core of the experience. Casting lures from the volcanic ledges for species such as bonito, barracuda, amberjack and grouper, with your host reading the water alongside you.

Spots that are not in the guidebooks

Not the usual harbour walls. Ledges, channels and current lines your host has worked for two decades, chosen on the day for the conditions.

Four, six or eight hours

Four hours is a focused session around the best window of light. Six- and eight-hour days let your host move you along the coast as the tide changes.

Beginners and experienced anglers

First cast or thirty years in, the session is built around your group. Technique, casting and lure choice are taught as you fish, never as a lecture.

One private group

Your host takes your group and no one else, up to five people. No mixed parties, no shared minibus, no waiting for strangers on a rock.

The sea decides what is safe

Your host knows which platforms are safe at which state of the swell. That knowledge is the difference between a good day and a serious accident on this coast.

LA GRACIOSA, WITHOUT A GUIDE

Self-guided transfers to the best fishing spots on La Graciosa

Some anglers travel as a group and would rather fish alone. On La Graciosa, the island just north of Lanzarote, your host offers exactly that: transfers from the village out to the best fishing spots, and a pickup at whatever time you agree with him.

There is no time limit. You fish as long as you want. Before you set off you get the full local briefing: which species hold at each spot, which lures to use, the depth, how the tides run, and, most importantly, which zones are safe and which are dangerous.

We came over from France and I took a grouper on a lure. I had been after that fish for years, and we simply do not have it at home. Thank you, Dani. A day we will not forget.
